Last week, I saw the worst of 35+ years of "flying mattress" highway accidents (I've probably seen worse, as unidentified wipeouts into a guard rail. This was an obvious but nonfatal obliteration of a compact car)

Yes. As I learned firsthand, and have watched many others learn, a double sized matress degenerates surprising lift at speeds as low as 25 mph

I didn't play unfortunately. I decided that if it was so unstable I couldn't get a decent game I'd rather spend my 3 hours of game time doing something else. Oh well, I can wait for the next weekend beta.

It was pretty unstable. But interestingly, it was more stable than the first open beta. At least it shows they're improving! :) Hopefully they'll include a few more game optimizations soon. The game is largely still unplayable for me due to the lack of decent GPU and multi-core support. :(

Oddly, it ran really smoothly for me? My comp passes the specs, but it's 4+ years old so it's not in any way new!
