Parties A-Z started the elections. Parties N-Z were dumped, which is basically a good thing, apart from the fact that party R were the ‘Green people’  :alien:  (AKA nature protection etc.)

In a 120 seats parliament (‘The Knesset’)

Party A won 33 seats
Party B won 19 seats
Party C won 17 seats
Party D won 9 seats
Party E won 7 seats
Party F won 9 seats
Party G won 5 seats
Party H won 5 seats
Party I won 3 seats
Party J won 3 seats
Party K won 4 seats
Party L won 3 seats
Party M won 3 seats  and hopefully that will add up to 120 :suspect:

The party leader that will build a coalition will be the prime minister, but this is where it becomes tricky:

Party B will not join party A unless party B leader will be PM (not likely)
Party C will only join a coalition based on parties A and B and will not, under any circumstances, join parties D, G and probably H
Parties K, L and M will not join party A
Parties E, K, L, M will not join parties F and H, and that’s mutual
Party G does not traditionally (don’t ask) join coalitions. However, they do traditionally support them in the Knesset if the PM answers their demands
Polls show that public would like to see parties A and B together in the government and that most people would like to see a coalition without parties D and G ( that doesn’t include, of course, the people who voted for them)

Feels like the weekend newspaper quiz I liked as a child, but there are two problems:
1. Hell, it’s our lives :crazy:
2. I’m not so sure this is solvable   :eek:

Dare and give it a shot?

Dan blinks

Wow...that's unbelieveable.

A,B,C and E with B as prime

My candle burns at both its ends;
It will not last the night;
But oh, my foes, and oh, my friends --
It gives a lovely light."
