Hello.

As you know, there was a hurricane that passed through our state. I'll just post this, because when I read it, I knew I couldn't add anymore. I'm just grateful to be alive right now.

I'm glad you're OK.  Preliminary news reports are extremely grave.  It sounds as if this storm was even more devastating than Andrew.  I'm so sorry that you guys got so pounded!!!

Did it change course? Otherwise, why would those people in trailer parks not get out of the way? It's not like the dangers of trailer parks in this kind of weather are unknown...

Hi, Kathy.

Thank you.

I knew it was going to be bad over there, but I had no idea. My area was very lucky, but most of my viewing area(Orlando) got some significant damage.

Hello, Hambil

Three things happened.

1. They thought Tampa Bay was going to get hit.
2. The storm strengthened more and moved faster than expected.
3. No matter how much you tell people to leave the coast, some won't.

We have a lot people who've never been through hurricanes and tropical storms come through each year. Plus, those who are by the beaches that made it through tropical storms and small hurricanes that are lulled into false senses of security. I'm just glad to be typing now.

I can imagine (sort of). I'm really glad you're posting too. Hopefully relief will get to everyone who needs it soon.

Thanks ... I'm just watching news reports for lists of names of dead and injured and hoping like heck I don't see certain names.
