CNN is not making positive IDs because they want to wait until families are notified, but it looks like these are the POWs from Ft. Bliss plus the two chopper pilots, rather than any MIAs--six men and one African-American woman. Two were injured but all were ambulatory. They were being held in Samarra.

MSNBC just said the 5 of them were taken at the same time as Jassica Lynch. the other two were Apache pilots.

I just saw the videophone footage of the POW's transferring to the plane taking them to Kuwait.

They are all ambulatory. Five of them sprinted to the plane with their hands in the air-- jubilant to be going home.  Two were wounded slightly, but they were still moving on their own steam, just at a slower pace.

Fantastic news indeed.

On a sadder note, remains of three Americans were found yesterday. No news yet on who pending notifications of family. Presumably, these are some of the missing Marines.

It's bad for us, waiting at home. I can only imagine how difficult it will be for the exponentially greater number of Iraqi families facing the same loss with even less chance of knowing for sure what happened to their sons/fathers/brothers.

Excellent news. I heard it was a tip from an Iraqi citizen....

Josh: "I don't have a job, I have ONE credit card, I'm stuck in a lease and I'm 28! My mom's basement IS ONE BAD DECISION AWAY!"

That's great; I'm glad it turned out well for 'em!

I agree. Excellent news.

Anyone interested in some "behind the scenes" speculation?

At the moment it is all just speculation, it's not like the special forces troops operating in Iraq have embedded reporters or even if we still know that Saddam is even alive let alone hiding out somewhere.
