Well, I have to thank Drew for referring me to one of the funniest OT threads in a while...

Seriously - that's hysterically funny.  If it were fiction it would make great Chevy Chase or Arnold Schwartzenegger comedy.  I agree with everyone who thought this was funny, no one who thought this was a reason to slam the president, and everyone who thought trying to make this thread serious is even funnier than the note...

Edit to add: after rewatching Pearl Harbor last night, something hit me...the media then wouldn't sensationalize Roosevelt's handicap out of common courtesy.  Now we get to hear that Bush needed a pee break.  What does that say about the media today?

I've decided that it's childish to make fun of Bush for having to go to the bathroom (as we all do... until I perfect my machine that removes things the body doesn't use from foods and beverages before we eat them, that is.  Think how much time it'll free up!  And think how much better food will taste once all that #1 and #2 has been filtered out of it!)   It's juvenile, it's unfair, and anyway I've run out of "gate" and "leak" jokes, so now seems to be a good time to cast disdain on the whole process.

Shame, shame, shame on us!

We should not stoop to making fun of such things, when we could, instead, snicker at his apparent inability to button his shirt correctly.

(I made that clickable so the too-uptight-to-laugh-at-stuff need not avail themselves of it, especially since it has stuff on it that I didn't write.  I'm kind of going for a "well, at least that Zwolf is a courteous a-hole, damn him and all his kind to hell" kinda thing here :)   Plus I'm trying to avoid the fury that erupted over my infamous "thumb or birdie finger" post, which was, of course, the most controversial post ever (except for this one, of course, which we do not speak of).

Anyway, I had heard people expressing concern that Mr. Bush should not be allowed near the button, and now I understand why - he wouldn't put it in the right hole, and would end up looking like Tweak on South Park.   "Oh man!  I don't wanna be president!  Too much pressure!  Arrrgh!"

MakeWaterGate is dead!  Long live CollarGate!

Cheers,

Zwolf

Hmm.  Image won't post.  Something about dynamic pages not working between the image tags.  It was Bush doing the funky chicken with his fly open at the APEC meeting, with Putin looking rather appalled and the PM of Japan distinctly embarassed.

Unfortunately, Shalamar, there is no need to stretch to find reasons to, in your words, "dump on Bush." The valid reasons are myriad and varied. There's also a difference between "gin bloom" and the natural weathering of skin.

And yes, many people have facial ticks. But not many people have the specific one referred to as "coke jaw." It's quite distinctive. It's not absolutely diagnostic, but coupled with Bush's known history of drug use, it's certainly suggestive.

I googled "Bush's Coke Jaw' and variations there of.   Sites came up as Daily Kos, Randi Rhodes,  Democratic Underground and many democratic blogs but not a single article nor link on those sites in the many threads I went through. Nothing of substance.

Since you claim Bush has a known history of drug use, please provide some proof of this.
