I havent seen many of the new Doctor Who eps, but i caught this one and thought it was pretty good 
Our revels now are ended. Oh wow . . . I liked this one alot! Where to start? Suspenseful, exciting, wonderful production values. All around, a very good show! This is hands-down my favorite episodes of the new season, perhaps of the new series alltogether.

I watched this one with headphones on . . . cuz . . . um . . . my laptop has a really long cord clear over to the UK *cough* . . . anyhoo . . . on headphones . . .WOW! That voice!! I'm still incoherent enough about this episode that I can't say more than a few sentances . . . but this was really an astonishing 2 parter . . . wow!

I felt a tad bit disappointed when the doctor was hesitant about going into the pit (I'm a big suscriber to Sturgeon's "ask the next question") but I like the whole conversation leading up to it.

From what I understand they pulled money from the finale to be able to do the CGI for the Beast.

Money well spent if you ask me: as Gabriel said, much better than most recent horror movies and at an hour and a half, probably a little longer...

I guess they just had to spend the money they had left over, they pulled one ep. out of the schedule til next year due to the SFX so I think they'll make out OK.
