Did anyone else watch this?

Did anyone else think it was just a rip off of InuYasha?

Does anyone think that it has any value in watching a 2nd episode?

Trinity Blood..don't you mean, Vash the Stampeding Vampire Slayer?

I did check out Bleach too, and it  resembled Yuyu Hakushou (sp?) more, at least to me. While I'm familiar with InuYasha, I don't really follow it, so I can't say how close it may be to that.
I've read that the first 10 episodes or so are character/setup building-centric, so I don't know how well that bodes for future watching. It seems a common format for many of the shows that manage to get on here-a slow start up period before the central plot arc starts to take off. It took Eureka's Seven so long to do anything, I tuned out early.
So maybe we should just casually watch a few eps here and there and come back when the plot comes to a boil... :alien:

I saw no Inuyasha similarities at all. Although it did share a lot of characteristics with Yu Yu Hakoshou. Both have a teenage protagonist with special powers related to some other spiritual realm that is inducted into his role by a woman from that realm.

Ack.  Didn't realize that Bleach and Trinity Blood had started.  It'll be nice to have something to watch on Saturday nights again. :)

I'd be curious where you see the InuYasha similarities, too...especially in the first ep. alone?

What it boils down to is that Bleach is the latest "big thing" shonen fighting anime, so you're going to see a lot of similarities between other shows like this.   IMO, whether these types of shows end up being watchable really hinges on how well you like the cast of characters, because if you get in it for the long haul, you're probably gonna be sitting through a lot of episodes that can feel like they're just big fight fillers.  As someone who's just recently given in to the charms of One Piece and (to a lesser extent) Naruto, I'll be giving this one a chance to roll out the rest of its core cast before I decide whether it's of interest or not.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing a bit more Trinity Blood, though.  Very stylish series, if nothing else.

I've been following Bleach for a while now, and I'd definitely recommend it (the original Japanese voice over version). I haven't seen the dub version so I don't know how well that is.

No, not really in the long run of the show. No Insurance girls, no Wolfwood and Abel's not quite the pacifist Vash is. Plus he's got

more family than Vash :D

As for Bleach - it's got quite the following but I wasn't that impressed with the first episode. I'm hearing the show doesn't take off until Ep 15 or so, however, so I'll most likely give it until least then. BTW, Eureka Seven finally took off so you can come back and check if you want ;).
