Can't  blame guns on Heart Disease and Cancer, which are the leading causes of death in the US:

Looks like lack of exercise, and not eating right is a much bigger threat than any evil automatic rifle.

This is rather interesting:

Nope, but you can blame the EPA for adding to these health statistics, Spidey. In some ways you have justified the need to this bill.

After the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) scandal, in which Clinton spearheaded more censoring of video games, I have little respect for them.

But I do have to wonder if you are against the issue because of who is pushing it through the Senate, or against the bill itself?

As I have said before, I am NOT against the bill, just the person who is pushing it.  In one of my prior links, Hillary didn't want to meet with anyone reguarding their health after 9/11.  Now she's pushing it.  She pulled more 180's on issues, it makes even John Kerry's head spin.

So all this pitching a fit is indeed based on who put the bill forward. Personally, I don't care if Hillary, Dubya or Crusty the Clown put forward the bill. I also don't care about why (if it is the right thing to do). I've yet to see a politician that didn't act for political gain. I don't like it but I dislike it alot less then I do when political gain for them translates to screwing over the average person.

Do I think Hillary is some Democratic "saviour"? Nope I don't even like her, never have really (as many others have said here) but taking your hate for her and tossing out the baby with the bath water makes no sense to me. Save a little of that outrage for the hundreds of examples of politicians pandering for votes while NOT serving their constituients.

John Kerry has been far more consistant in his statements than our beloved President has but sound byte politics can create any impression they care to. All it requires is editing out of context, a spiffy catch phrase and an American public too lazy to do the research to find out if it's true or not.

If you hate gun control so much, you must really hate Ronald Reagan then. Personally, I have no problem with a little common sense being used to govern who can have guns and how long they must wait to acquire them.

I do hate Ronald Reagan.  Not only for his gun control BS, but he really screwed up California.  It is because of him that California hasn't been able to recover even to this day.  Davis contributed to it as well, sadly.

As for who can own guns, I have no problem with that, or with the waiting period.  I can wait.  Heck, I've picked up on piece four days after the waiting period was over.  No big.  That isn't the part of gun control I was referring to.

Then what part are you referring to? I haven't got alot of time to wade through links, working alot of hours right now. So if you could please spell out what exactly Clinton did regarding gun control that has you so upset, I'd appreciate it. :)
