Ahem. I just found out that Chris Baty, founder of NaNoWriMo and author of "No Plot? No problem!" is coming here to MIT on Saturday. Anyone who lives in the Boston/Cambridge area and adores this man should come. PM me for more details on how to get in and stuff.

Rose: [disgusted] Oh, look at what the cat dragged in: "The Oncoming Storm."

ETA: People say I've lost mine. I wouldn't know what it looked like since I don't think I ever had one.

I just met Chris Baty a few hours ago. What a fun guy!
He had this awesome speech prepared and everything about why you should do NaNoWriMo, and he even convinced a few of my friends to do it.
I had my picture taken with him! I'm so excited! And he autographed my copy of "No Plot? No Problem!"
*is really looking forward to November even more now*

As for how awesome he was, he was pretty frakin' awesome.
It was so cool, my friend actually emailed him and organised the whole thing so that he would come here, and I was in the room an hour early with her, so I got to meet him before the crowds of people did.
No Plot? No Problem! is an amusing book, but since you've already done NaNo, I think you probably know all the material the book contains. It's really more for first-timers with no clue. I only bought it last week so that he could autograph it.
