In the "yet another innovative defiance of common sense" file:

This is nothing new, and this particular case deals with Wisconsin; still, it's an interesting issue.

In-State Tuition Proposed for Illegal Immigrants

The lawmaker proposing the legislation says the students have earned it, but as Christine Leonard finds, others say the bill is an insult to Wisconsin taxpayers. A bill before your state lawmakers would let illegal immigrants pay in state tuition prices. These are the kids that want a future for themselves.

Think about this: If I, as an Arizonan, want to go to the University of Wisconsin, I'd pay out of state tuition fees. I'd probably move there and have a job for a couple years, for financial reasons.

But if I was a law-breaking immigrant, I'd get a tuition break.

If somebody comes forward and identifies themselves as an illegal immigrant,  shouldn't they be deported?

Somehow, it amazes me how extremely defective the US immigration policy is....
St. Louis must be destroyed!

Me: "I have a job and five credit cards and am looking into signing a two year lease.  THAT MAKES ME OLD."
Josh: "I don't have a job, I have ONE credit card, I'm stuck in a lease and I'm 28! My mom's basement IS ONE BAD DECISION AWAY!"
~~ Josh, winning the argument.

"Congress . . . shall include every idiot, lunatic, insane person, and person non compos mentis[.]" ~1 U.S.C. 1, selectively quoted for accuracy.
