For all y'all that already know for sure that you're going to hit Comic Con 2007 in San Diego, you can register online for four-day passes (for the reduced rate of $50).

I'd highly recommend this, as it's generally cheaper than ordering two single day passes, and also gets you access to the cool preview-night only goodies in the exhibitor's hall.

And, if you like limited edition figurines (or know someone who does) - check out the clear bugs bunny you can get ;)

Yeah Folks Jid very much on the mark here. For those needing to I strongly suggest also start looking for rooming arrangements. There is enough time that if you need to back out that you can without a penalty.

Also speaking of rooms please consider trying to work with your roomies and see if you can get the room without waiting for the con room blaokc as those go hyper fast.

G, back in my con days, I used to line up commitments for rooms, and then book a block of suites (I used to get some nice discounts that way. Hotels almost always give you the "corporate rate" or something even better, with no questions, if you just ask for a better rate.) We'd get drop outs, but rarely had a trouble filling their slots. <*ahem*>

Is that practical in the environment of this con? Is it too much work/risk?

If you move now, it might be.  The problem being, that EI's Comic Con attendee numbers have dwindled, and some, like myself, can't be sure yet if we should even start planning to go.

The key to snagging con-rate rooms is to take a flex day on the day hotel resos open.  Or, if you're lucky, get your college student Comic-Con Roommate to do it for you ;)

But even if you miss it, you can still get a room at the con-rate.  Con-goers are notorious for overbooking, and then shedding excess rooms as time draws on - meaning that good rooms in good hotels will open as the time progresses.

(And while it's a bit of extra work, I generally consider knocking $150/night (or more!) off the standard rate to be worth it ;) )

Lil what brought about the change? I know Ash and Zack have a new show but they have not said if they will be at Comic Con yet. Or have they?
