I have to say, I'm scratching my head at a scale that can place Tony Blair and Gerhard Schoeder, both leaders from left-labor parties, to the right of a politically conservative nationalist like Jacques Chirac.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this though.
The longest-running science fiction series: decadent, degenerate and rotten to the core. Power-mad conspirators, Daleks, Sontarans... Cybermen! They're still in the nursery compared to us. Fifty years of absolute fandom. That's what it takes to be really critical.

Hey, I work in Hollywood, where the artists ARE businessmen and women.  Do you know how much worse the US trade deficit would be without the entertainment industry?

I can't say that I'm too suprised by that.

I mean, they rate Jean Chretien as a bit left, but I'd peg him just right of center, myself, and he's the "Liberal" leader ;)

Also, I find Conservative spending policies these days to be more liberal than the left spending policies, which might account for the strange standings they've given.

As for me:

Economic Left/Right: -2.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -2.05

About what I expected ;)

Gandhi ok guy except for the whole view he had on World War II.  There he was hopelessly naÔve, shortsighted, and fanatical in his beliefs.
