That's a nice choice actually.  The Wendy's on the corner is pretty nice too.  But your choice is better.  :)

Well, this time I want to try Masala (India Quisine) at some point. But White Tiger, G12, and I had a wonderful meal on top of Horton Plaza at the Panda Inn! Chinese done good and fresh. Choose your spice level or none at all. Bonus is that it leaves you right next to the Gaslamp bars.

Bandar is a fantastic persian restaurant in gaslamp.  A little pricier than average, but the portions are also double average (so hey, lunch for the next day, or split it with someone ;) )

Well I can say it is a nice place but we will need to voerbook again. Remember we were a little over half the number we said we were. Not that the staff was upset. I did tip very nicely.

If we do this again we need to get our reservation in early. Like the second or third thing after getting to our hotels. Do we have anything like number of folks actually comming. That way we can give the point person enough info to get us set up?

I know there is Heropa and Me. White Tiger, Capt.Jack, Lil, Jill, Bob ,and Jid.

Any word on Ash or Zack comming to the Con. And having time to eat with us for free.

I like the way the Tiger thinks. (Now if only there's someplace down there that does AYCE Sushi ;) )

We do have some AYCE sushi places in San Diego (O-Nami, Todai, Tomiko); I'm not a big fan, but I know others who are.  There are plenty of sushi places in San Diego (we do like our sushi), so you should have no difficulty finding something you like.  Taka is right in the Gaslamp.  Ra, part of the Benihana family of restaurants, is just a bit north on Broadway.

Places you're likely to find me getting food this year during Comic Con:

Breakfast - Cafe 222, probably every day
Lunch - Ralph's, or the food court at Horton (probably La Salsa or Great Khan's)
Dinner - Karl Strauss or Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurants (Rock Bottom is closer, but we really like Karl Strauss), Peohe's (just across from the Convention Center on Coronado), Kemo Sabe (up in Hillcrest), maybe Ra, and probably a random place or two I haven't tried before.

Well folks the discussion about sushi is not for the BIG group dinner. It is about where and what folks might do for lunch. I know I am heading back to Borders with a small note book. to get the list of places rachel Ray listed in her book $40 a day for food in a city. One of the towns listed is San Diego.

Me I plan to have a few small things to eat in the room. I will see about getting a second mini fridge in the room.

I do remember a nice place just south of Ralphs that did a nice breakfast. For a decent price. Also in the marriott there will be a Con Suite which runs from 5 pm to 2 am.

So there will be something like free food and drink somewhere at the con.

We're bringing a couple of coolers for the room and stocking up at Ralph's on the 25th!  Nothing like having a supply of yogurt and muffins for breakfast and lunch during the day.  I don't think I've ever made it over to the con suite yet. :)
