Mark: Sorry, I couldn't help but feel the word play coming on when I saw two Spocks (Zachary Quinto, and Leonard Nimoy), and thought of the ex-rapper's name.
So I title this (AP Photo/Dan Steinberg), "2Spocksyousure?"

Mark: BTW, after looking at all the photos of this event, I'm really sorry I didn't attend.
Just to get a peek at Kate Beckinsale would've been worth the trip, to me. :inlove: She's so cute!

The guy on the left looks like he has a uni-brow. :barf:  If that is the new Spock, I'm officially sick now...

You DO know that Leonard Nimoy's eyebrows don't naturally arch upward, right? =P

I have to admit that I wasn't too thrilled to see that Sylar from Heroes is now Spock but that's my bias about his character on Heroes. He's a good actor so it may actually work.

Yes, and I also know that Leonard Nimoy does not have a giant uni-brow.  ;)  This guy does. Posted Image  There is much grooming to be done on that fella.

Mark: I thought only Ferengi  had uni-brows.  :vulcan:

edited to add...Okay, and Tom Cruise, too.

LOOK! He's moved the uni-brow from his forehead to his face! He's a Uni-face!
Okay, I put the picture of him in, but it was too hard for me to look at, so I removed it.

Mark: Do you think Nimoy was exchanging his katra during the handshake with the new actor, or was that something they did privately backstage in a hush hush ceremony?
I can hear it now...

Nimoy: (whispering) The secret to playing Spock is...never let them see you sweat. ...REMEMBER... :vulcan:

Nimoy: A word of caution about Mr. Sulu...sometimes he gets...uh...how shall I put this...overzealous with his sword. So be careful around him during your plak tow.
(holds up hand with Vulcan jesture) Live long, and prosper.

Mark: Is this JJ Abrams' attempt at a Vulcan salute, or was he admitting to having no idea about how to make the new Star Trek film?

Mark: So he was just testing the communication system according to Captain Jack. I guess it's a good thing for a person in the entertainment industry to do their own check of the communication system every once-in-a-while, and not just take somebody's word for it.

Actually, he was sitting down for the Trek portion.

This is probably when he was talking about "Cloverfield"
