But you got a lot of praise. :) I particularly lavashed on the sap. ;) *is good at that*

However, I don't remember anything TERRIBLY controversial involving you... at least nothing to the level of me making out with Jid's purple monkey.

Isn't that what life really is?

Ok, more tonight, i promise.  I ended up having to wander around looking for where my car was parked (I will never, NEVER lend it out again).

More tonight, if all goes well.

6:00 am- Thursday

Why am I up?  Is it a time zone thing?  Or is it a Dan thing?

7:30 am

I finally get up off the floor (you filthy minds, that's where I'm SLEEPING) and hope into the shower.  Gode arrives while I'm in the shower.  I'd like to note that the hot and cold water flowed freely in this room :-)  We all head down to the convention centre so that Gode and I can get in line to buy tickets.

Oh what a line.

As we walked down it, we came to a point where one of the guys who was directing people actaully said "Oh, don't both going down there.  Just cut through this way"  and pointed to where the line CONTINUED down the sea front.  I think we estimated it as well over 2 miles long.  It took 10 minutes to walk to the end.

Frell.

So Gode and I went to the back of the line and talked about food.  Seriously hungry by that point, we talked about switching off so that we could go and eat.  Then we ran out of water so we complained about that.  Then the man selling little tiny bottles of water for $3.50 came by and we tried to decide if we should congradulate him of his brilliance or mob him.

We had moved about 20 feet in the last 50 minutes.

Suddenly this man comes down the line and asks for volunteers.  Both Gode and I raise our hands instantaniously and start yelling.  Was it lack of food? lack of water? Or simply a product of being foreigners?  M'eh.

Regardless, the man was giving out a coupon for half off a 4 day admission in exchange for taking the coupon to the front of the line and presenting it to the cashier.  They wanted to know how long the average person had to wait in line.

Of course Gode and I decided to share it between the two of us.

And then I remembered I had cards.  Oh glorious cards!!!  I taught Gode how to play queen of spades.

And finally the line started to move quickly.  I think they got done will all those silly pre-reg people and started letting more of the rabel in at a time.  Anyhoo, the line moved much quicker and before long we had our passes.

We had agreed to meet up with G and Heropa at noon, so we decided to wander through the dealer rink.  I

Something should be said about this dealers "room".  I have hiked mountains on three continents, wandered around the prairies looking for rattlesnakes for several days at a time, and had many many other occasions where GPS would have been great.

This was the first time I really, truly wished I had it.

At some point in the wanders, I see this poster.  It's a poster of The Great Wave, a vary famous and popular Japanese print.  Except in this one, the wave is made out of cute little bunny rabbits.  As a person who studied Japanese art history for 4 months, I found this wonderfully borderline sacredlidgious.

This is when I make my first comic-con mistake.

I don't buy the thing.

More on this later.

We leave the dealers room and go back to Friday's for lunch.  I'm begining to hate Fridays.  Not quite sure why.  Oh yeah, the sour cream tastes a little funny.

Heading back to the hotel room, we wait for usmarox to arrive.

TBC...

Up next:  REAL FOOD!!!  AND PIRATES!!!  AND DRINK!!!!   What more could a FlatlandDan wish for??
