I'm in Riverside County, must go out today, not happy about that, but at least there are new bridges since the last time flash floods raged through the wash. So many of our roads go down into the wash because the floods don't happen often, but when they do, disaster. Unwary drivers don't know that four inches of rushing water can carry them away, and even when the barriers go up, impatient drivers drive around them, and get carried away. My route today takes me across two of the new bridges, so with any luck, I won't have to drive extra miles this time. Sure wish I could stay in and stay dry, though.
