These are dogs of Bely Island located near the Yamal Peninsula in  Siberia. They risk their lives chasing a hungry polar bear away from  Siberian weather station.

Here we have a mama Scorpion with her babies safely on her back.
Scorpions have 8 legs, what you are thinking are two other legs are actually fixed claws or Manus.

Well, we do love our octopodes here on EtU, and what's not to like about the Mimic Octopus?

But from the moment I saw the xkcd cartoon (used with permission) lampooning Project Blue Book for identifying every UFO as swamp gas, I knew I wouldn't be satisfied until I saw one thing...

...somewhere, somehow, there had to be an organism evolved to mimic the Mimic Octopus.
[You thought I was going to say "octoporn of the beast with 16 limbs" didn't you? Heathen!]

As it turns out, there is such a creature:

There is a whole batch of these slice and dice documentaries on YouTube.

This one invites one of Darwin's descendants to talk about evolution and the hows and whys of the evolutionary diversions.

All of the ones I've watched have been fascinating but these two are my favorites so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching that video, D.Rabbit.

Thanks for sharing. :hugs:

I don't feel qualified to explain this in written form/typed word to do this statement justice, so I won't even try to explain, but I had a dog, that proved to me time and time again, that she recognized her own reflection.
