Name: Daze Libra
Species: Purple Pixie
Skills: He is a qualified doctor, can use a pistol if he really has to, has a high knowledge of the sciences, and has a talent for tending plants.
Physical Description: Quite short for a male although taller than Trance. He appears to be in his twenties with tawny hair and brown eyes. He generally wears dark coloured leather coveralls. Has the distinctive purple skin, pointed ears, and prehensile tail with devil-like pointed tip.
Known History: Very little is known about Daze's origins, family or history. If one looks deep enough they can discover that he qualified as a doctor from an obscure planet called Nakuze about ten years ago and has not aged at all since then. He has been travelling from planet to planet taking on various jobs within the medical profession but none lasting for more than five years at the maximum before he moves on. He started working for Catherine aboard the Ebon Hawk roughly a year ago as the ship's doctor. He is experienced and good at his job. What the crew doesn't know is that he is a biological avatar from a sun and has thus been alive for millions if not billions of years. In comparison how long his biological avatar lasts is quite short, being about a 5000 year lifespan however few 'purple pixies' live that long as the sun controlling them can get bored or accomplish its task, the avatar gets destroyed or it's necessary to create a new one that looks different. Daze has been observing the key scientific, historic and political moments in humanity for the last seven hundred years with this biological avatar and has thus been around long before the Fall. Why he does this, it isn't known to any but himself and some others of his species.

Age: Unknown but over 300 years old.
Physical Description: The almost mirror image of her twin sister, Andromeda. Only differences occur in her jet black hair opposed to brown and somewhat lighter shaded brown eyes. Usually wears a sensible blue and black coloured High Guard Uniform when she is aboard her ship-self but when out and about in other places her clothing varies as much as anything else although she favors leather clothing or functional cloth jumpsuits.
Profession: Ship's Avatar.
Skills: Those related to avatarial functions.
Relatives: Ship-Self, Path of Dawn, usually referred to as Path, and twin sister Andromeda Ascendant.
Known History: The Path of Dawn was constructed only five months after the Andromeda Ascendant was constructed and the two are virtually identical in design and in the appearance, and, to an extent, the personality of the AI's. The internal AI known more commonly as Path by her crew wanted an avatar built and thus only a few months after the construction of the ship the android avatar Dawn was created. The Path of Dawn served much as the Andromeda did in various battles and skirmishes for the good of the Commonwealth. She also served in the nietzschean-commonwealth war after what began in the battle of Hephestos. (sp?) The Path of Dawn served her side well until the battle of Sketaara, one of history's forgotten battles. She engaged with a small fleet of nietzschean ships who were on a mission to destroy one of the High Guard's few remaining planets. It was a massive battle but eventually the Path and her crew won but only after incurring quite severe damage and major losses of the crew leaving only a skeleton crew as survivors. This forced captain Darren Kelmore and his crew to stop in the remains of what was the Sketaara system, now a barren asteroid field to conduct repairs. They took aboard only a limited amount of the metals, ores and materials needed to start constructing repairs before they realized that some of the Nietzscheans who had boarded and been repelled during the battle had left behind a deadly engineered virus. Because of the speed at which it killed and the fact that the Path's medical officer had died during the battle the entire crew succumbed to it before a cure could be developed and before a damaged Path could purge it from the atmosphere. For a long time after that the ship has been powered down to the absolute minimum power required to keep the AI and Avatar alive though mostly in a state of dormancy. Occasionally they 'wake' to perform maintainance of the vessel. Within the last 60 years Path eventually plotted a route out of the asteroid field and sent Dawn out to either find the Commonwealth and bring assistance for repairs, or to bring back parts and materials needed to repair the ship themselves. It has been a long and difficult process spanning decades as Dawn has found no hint of the commonwealth and uses a small cargo ship of her own that she 'aquired' to bring back what Path needs. As such Dawn is a fairly experienced trader making regular trips to planets and drifts. She doesn't yet work aboard the Ebon Hawk but that could change soon...

24 years old
Short, curly brunette hair
5'4", 125 pounds, medium frame
Several scars from the time she was a Dragan slave, including a brand on the back of one of her hands.
Her clothing is generally (black) leather trousers, short leather boots, white t-shirt and leather vest. She also wears a pair of leather fingerless gloves to cover the brand on her hand.
She's an orphan, orphaned when she was a preteen, with no known relatives. She grew up on the streets of Earth, in what used to be known as the Deep South, and learned how things ran the old-fashioned way-taking stuff apart and putting it back together again.
She was kidnapped from earth almost two years ago when some Drago-Kazov Nietzscheans heard about her engineering skills. They implanted a dataport in her when they got her to one of their drifts so that she could keep their equipment running. They also implanted a tracker in her so if she tried to run they could retrieve her easily. After about a year there, one of the systems mysteriously failed and she took advantage of it and escaped. In her attempt to find passage off the drift, she ran into Catherine and Daze. When she told them she was an engineer, Catherine told her that she was looking for one for her ship, the Ebon Hawk, and if she proved herself she could not only have safe passage, but also a job. She's been there for about 11 months now. Daze removed her dataport and used it to fake her death just before they left the system and she has no inclination to leave the Hawk unless she's looking for parts for the ship.
Being from the South, she has a slight Southern accent, it used to be more pronounced but becomes less so the longer she stays with the crew.
She usually keeps to herself, she's not exactly shy, but she prefers her own company to the company of others-especially those of the opposite sex. She doesn't talk about her past or how she was orphaned. One thing she likes to do is play video games, she modified a PSP she found, along with a library of games for it, to a new power supply and plays it almost obsessively if she has a lot of free time on her hands.
She can hold her own in a fight, since she had to fight to stay alive while she lived on the streets. She has no formal fighting skills. She was employed to keep the Hawk flying, not to fight, and she does that very well, sometimes scavenging other ships for parts or simply frankensteining when she has to, until she can get proper parts. One way or another, the Hawk stays flying and is actually in much better shape than most other cargo ships of its class.

Name: Meng Ran-Deng (Not his real last name)
Weight: 230 pounds of solid muscle
Hair: Black, shoulder length. He typically keeps it pulled back in a ponytail.
Skin: Medium tone, typical for asians.
He likes to wear leather clothing, as most Nietzscheans do, and he carries large knives and guns wherever he goes. He's very muscular as all Nietzscheans are, and he knows several martial arts disciplines. He's also very proficient with knives and staves in hand to hand fighting. He's very intelligent and arrogant, being born practically a prince and is more used to giving orders than taking them from someone else, his bearing reflects this, though he attempts to portray a more general Nietzschean demeanor.
Not much is known about him as he rarely speaks about himself, and when he does he doesn't always tell the truth. He generally introduces himself as Meng Ran-Deng out of Kuan-Yu by Chang-Fe. If pressed about which pride he comes from, he will say the relatively minor Cobra pride since they're one of the smaller and lesser-known of the Nietzschean prides and it would be doubtful that anyone would run across one.
What isn't known is this:
His real last name is Kuan-Ti. His father's name is Chu-Lung and his mother's name is Lei-Kung
He's the rightful Alpha to the Caspian pride, a relatively large pride comparable to the Sabra-Jaguar or Drago-Kazov prides. As the son of the Alpha, he has many full and half-siblings, male and female.
He's the middle son of his father and his First, and was the favorite to take over from his father-until he was betrayed and framed.
His older half-brother Guan framed him for the murder of their younger brother Jian, hoping to have him executed and leave the way open for him to take the Alpha's place. Luckily, Meng had friends and loyal siblings/half-siblings who helped him fake his death and also helped him escape. He's doing everything he knows to survive, with the intention of one day returning and exacting his revenge on his brother and taking his rightful place as Alpha.
To that end, he's part of the crew of the Ebon Hawk and has been for about a month. He happened to be on a drift when the Captain of the Hawk was advertising that she need a weapons officer and after easily passing her assault course, he was offered the job. He despises having to take orders from the female kludge captain, but he knows that his survival depends on his brother continuing to believe him dead, and no one would think about looking for him on the decrepit (by his standards) ship. Though he considers his crewmates inferior, he tolerates them while he continues to plot and scheme, mostly to acquire the High Guard technology that the captain possesses, and later on, how to take possession of the Path of Dawn.
He is now happily mated and awaiting the birth of his first child. He's decided to remain behind on the Caspian homeworld after regaining his Alphaship to oversee the new policies and transitions.

Name: Catherine Rowe.
Species: Human, female unmodified.
Physical Description: She has black hair, blue eyes and pale skin. She is average height and weight for a genetically-unmodified human female although her musculature is strong and toned. She seems to be in better average health than most unmodified humans after the Fall. Her clothing varies depending on her environment but she favors tough and practical clothing that is good for movement and combat in.
Profession: Cargo ship captain.
Skills: Competent with a range of weapons including knife and knife throwing, forcelance, gauss pistol, gauss rifle. She is trained in hand to hand combat. She is also a competent ship and slipstream pilot and she knows her way around a ship and engine room although she isnt an engineer. She is a first aider. She has a surprisingly high level of education given the post-fall universe. She also has a grasp for tactical plans and maneouvers as well as trading and bargaining.
Relatives: Catherine has a brother, nephew, niece, parents and grandparents living on her homeworld.
Known History: Not much is known about Catherine Rowe. She lists as being born and raised on a disorganized black market trade planet called Urdine and it seems legitimate enough until someone actually tries to track down any relatives or friends who have known her for longer than six years. Although its plausible that shes indeed telling the truth as Urdine doesnt keep records due to the nature of the way it conducts business it remains a curious fact to anyone that bothers to research her background. Most people know her as the Captain of a cargo ship known as the Ebon Hawk. She and her crew enjoy a good reputation for being able to deliver goods and cargo from one place to another. She is registered with the Free Trade Alliance although she is a freelance mercenary and cargo runner. Most of the runs or jobs she and her crew take on are legal but when the pay is good and the risks dont seem to outweigh the benefits, or they are desperate they will occasionally do illegal jobs although what is legal varies from system to system, planet to planet or drift to drift. They usually live well enough although they are far from wealthy. The only other unusual thing about Catherine is that she owns two fully functional force lances and she knows how to use them. She also possesses other technology that belonged to the Old Commonwealth and has become either rare or unheard of in the past three centuries. However she keeps these items tightly guarded and only lets crewmembers she fully trusts borrow or use them-which is to say almost none of her crew at all. When it comes to her crew she walks a fine line between reliability and those with shady pasts. Way she figures it, just about everyone nowadays has something to hide or some agenda and their past is their own business so long as it doesnt threaten herself, her ship, or her current crew. Catherine seems content with her mercenary life such as it is nowadays.

But there's still weapons station. (Shooting missiles and ship to ship weaponry.)
Sensor station and drone control.
Then there is security, first officer, being hired muscle, or perhaps a scientific role, ship's cook. You could be a savvy trader type that helps us secure deals, clients or getting the best prices for anything we might sell.
Just about anything you want but I'd favour weapons or sensors.

Name: Cori Salvasi
Species: Inari Male
Age: 26 years old
Hair: Very short black hair.
Eyes: Grey eyes
Height/Build: 6'1", Lightly built.
Skills: Piloting surface and interstellar craft. Could man most stations on a spacecraft but prefers the pilot's seat.
Physical Description: Ridges of bone above eyes and across forehead. A distinct preference for light clothing due to being genetically engineered to live in hot volcanic climates. Can see better than humans with minimal light but still requires some light to see. Tan coloured skin.
History: Having spent much of his youth piloting small craft on the surface of Inaris Cori has significantly more experience piloting craft in an environment with a gravitational field than most pilots. He is also capable of driving most surface vessels.
Cori has been pilot of the Ebon Hawk for about 2 years. Hired by Captain Rowe for a one flight mission, she needed a pilot and he wanted to get somewhere, the arrangement became permanent after he found his meeting on a different planet "cancelled" and chances of finding a new berth significantly reduced.
Prior to piloting the Ebon Hawk Cori was a pilot for one of the mining guilds that smuggled ammonium phosphate to the Pyrian Empire, his quick decision point speed has saved his craft on more than one occasion. He fears returning to Inari because he believes the mining guilds will assassinate him for abandoning his last mission.

Joshua Salroka: A tall, strong, and quite well muscled human male with red hair and green eyes, he is the first officer of the Ebon Hawk. He takes command during the times Catherine is incapacitated or not aboard the ‘Hawk. He is in his early thirties and has been a member of the crew for six years. Aside from shore leave at drifts or planets he seldom leaves the Ebon Hawk and helps guard the ship when Catherine and the crew aren’t aboard.
Gentle Rains: Gentle Rains is an Emerald Than that serves as a multipurpose general crewmember aboard the Ebon Hawk. He/She/It can operate any bridge console, is an adequate pilot and knows the basics of engineering and can assist Kaylee in repairs or maintainance. It prefers to remain aboard the Ebon Hawk and work quietly in the background at whatever task is needed at the time. Gentle Rains also comes in handy when Catherine and the crew leave the Hawk and usually remains behind with Joshua and Kody to keep the ship safe and functioning while they are gone and has served aboard the Ebon Hawk for three years and shows no inclination of going anywhere soon.

As for Makra images. I have an idea. Go to google image search and type in "Khajiit" and see if you find anything you like.

And since there very likely aren't any pictures of Makra out there, may I suggest you google khajiit and look at those images and choose one?

Is it too late to send you an idea for the ship's cook...as a small/medium role, whatever you can dream up and I have time for? I have such a soft spot for this RP and 'Drom. It's all your fault, Miko, for reworking this one!!
I'd bring back Erica to make it easy...I did love her so . You can PM me, so it doesn't take up more room in the character thread.

Name: Erica Desmarais
Species: Nietzschean, Mandau
Family: Sister, Jessamine (3 years older); the rest she has no contact with
Birthplace: Venceremos - the Mandau Homeworld
Skills: Physical combat, personal weapons, shopping, eating ice cream and pie, talking (especially to herself), and finding out information (although some call this being nosy). Erica made many “friends” during her travels of the known universe, more often than not (but not always!) she can get what she needs or wants. She has other skills that come in handy in different situations.
Physical Description: 5'7”; Slim but muscular; Bright red hair with striped color nanos; Green eyes. Usually accused of being younger than she really is.
Profession: Ship's cook/sometimes counselor in a off-beat way and procurer of supplies for the past four years.
Known History: Erica was 18 when she "left" her homeworld and the Nietzschean Jaguar Pride. Her father, Arjun Desmarais-- a high-ranking male in the military--had agreed that she would marry a much older Alpha male (who, in her words before she left, was "icky") of a neighboring Pride to further their alliance. Originally Jessamine, her older sister, had been the intended "wife-to-be" before she herself ran away. Erica's mother, the first wife of Arjun, had been against this union but had no choice in the matter.
Erica learned all the Nietzschean ways, ideals, and beliefs but did not agree with many of them. Although she learned to fight and defend herself and was the perfect physical specimen of a Niet, Erica's personality was much different. She preferred to explore, shop, have fun, and be kinder to people. So, with the help of one of her older brothers, ran away from home in search of her sister.
She usually introduced herself as just Erica--Erica Desmarais to be more precise. The whole Nietzschean lineage ordeal was so "boring" and complicated, although she has learned to use her Nietzschean heritage and teachings to her advantage when necessary.
At 21, after spending several years out in the universe meeting new friends and more often than not getting into some sort of trouble, Erica met Catherine Rowe and the Ebon Hawk. One thing led to another until Erica sold her own little ship and hired on with Catherine four years ago.
(Mostly the same Erica as before but with a different picture. We will be having pie and ice cream when available .)

Name: Macavity Holmes
Species: Makra male
Hair: Short ginger hair with black highlights-- all over
Eyes: Glow-in-the-dark green
Height/Build: Tall, thin, wiry
Profession: Investigator, detective, hunter, researcher, finder of lost loves-- anything in that line
Skills: Has a highly developed sixth sense-- which is really the synergy of five highly keen regular senses that have been trained since youth. Also has a flare for any type of technology related to investigation, from microscopes and chemistry sets to surveillance devices and ship's sensors.
Physical Description: Long and lean, with piercing green eyes that don't miss a thing. Covered with short hair, striped somewhat like a tiger. Nimble and strong. Claws are retracted most of the time, but they're there.
History: Macavity was a famous detective on Makrai VII. But when he finally tracked down the Napoleon of Crime and it turned out to be the King of the Cats, he decided it would be wise to take a long sabbatical. Adventuring with the crew of the Ebon Hawk should keep him sharp until things cool down at home.

I like, it should make an interesting contrast to the rest of the crew.
