I can't speak for what sort of system you have, but my system is under the minimum requirements, and its been working all right. Pretty laggy, but all right. I myself will be getting a new computer soon as well.

Awww - no Harbinger toons yet? Rats!

I have two friends who play and we want to start up a guild!

I am loving the Smuggler class but I will be making some more characters, maybe I will try out some of the other servers.

My Laptop has a first gen i3 processor only 1.2 GHz, min. requirement for the game is 2.0

I want an alienware, but can't decide if I want a laptop or a desk top.  Laptops are certainly cheaper, but I'm not sure if they hold up as well as the desktops

Check out the Gamer Republic line of laptops from Asus. I am loving my new one! It runs SW:TOR and Skyrim at their highest settings as well as doing all the great things you want from a laptop. They run a little big but they are great, sturdy machines and they are about half the price of a Alienware. Not to mention I don't fully trust Alienware since Dell took over. :(

Thanks I'll check them out.  My current laptop is an Asus, I bought it primarily to get me through school.  I had a desktop that I used for games, but the mother board went out in April after about 4 years.  And yes one of my primary concerns about Alienware is Dell!

I got this a couple of days ago and I'm currently a level 10 Twi'lek Jedi Knight called Dia'ntilles. I really like it so far, but I've never played an MMO before, and I don't really know how to be social. The next thing I have to do is the Essels flashpoint....

The best way to be social is to join a guild.  Had I not joined I guild, I never would have played WoW for as long as I did.

It makes a big difference having a group of people available who can help you with questions, craft things for you, or just chat with while you're bored.

I guess so. I need to find a guild for 'people who've never played MMO's before'  :hehe:

A good guild should be welcoming regardless of whether you've played a lot of MMOs or not. If I played this game I'd offer to invite you into my guild. We aren't the biggest guild but we're welcoming of new players.

If you end up playing Guild Wars 2 and want some people to help out/hang with, just let me know. :)

I belong to a group called The Older Gamers.  They have guilds in just about every game there is, including TOR.

It's for gamers 25 and older. www.theoldergamers.com

Soresu? Something like that, but I'll have to check the spelling tonight after work...
I managed to get in on a team to do the Esseles flashpoint and quite enjoyed it! Now I'm running around Coruscant. I did the entire flashpoint without realising that when I chose the Sentinel specialisation, I got given a bag containing my second lightsaber *rolls eyes*

Rats - nobody on Harbinger. :(

Well my friends and I have started our little guild and things are growing pretty good. And my Alts are rolling off the assembly line as scheduled. I now have a bouncing baby Bounty Hunter and Jedi Counseler. :)

Soresu was the correct spelling, who'd of thunk?
I did start a trooper character but I don't think I'm gonna actually play his story until I've finished/done a good portion of my first characters story.
