Nintendo is bringing The Last Story to the US. Well, sort of. Unlike Xenoblade, The Last Story is coming to the US thanks to XSEED Games. Nintendo, probably still a bit worried about the marketing power this game may have over here, partnered with XSEED Games to help with the localization. So while Nintendo is still overseeing the localization, XSEED Games will be the actual company publishing it in the US. And it seems fitting, actually. The Last Story is developed by Mistwalker, a company made up of former Square-Enix of Japan employees, while XSEED Games is a publishing company made up of former Square-Enix of America employees. It's basically a Square-Enix reunion of sorts.
For those not in the know, The Last Story is a game written and directed by famed Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, with music from legendary game composer Nobuo Uematsu. If there is any doubt as to the quality or this man's music, all you need to do is listen to this:
