Microsoft got ripped off. Minecraft is a mildly entertaining diversion at best.

I've never really seen the appeal of Minecraft but I know people that are obsessed with it and play it all the time.

I've never understood the appeal of it either. Clearly Microsoft sees the appeal or they wouldn't have paid $2.5 billion for it. Still, it seems like that money could be better spent on something else.
