Very true. The CW seems to be transitioning from a supernatural-themed netlet to a superhero-themed netlet. And, from what I hear, they're doing much better with it than the DC movies are.
Yes they are. Then again, the TV shows took their time to build up their universes. Barry Allen was introduced in the second season of Arrow
and was given his own show the next season. Legends of Tomorrow
used established characters to ease viewers in and had set-up thanks to both Arrow
and The Flash
On the other hand, the movies want a shared Marvel-style universe now without taking the time to build up the characters and universe. I'm hoping that Suicide Squad
and Wonder Woman
help the DC movie 'verse establish itself and hope that they don't have to stick to the dark, grim 'n gritty approach.
