WTFJHT - 4 min read, Day 368: The Shutdown shut down.

- Shutdown: Gov't shutdown started at midnight Fri/Sat, just hours before dawn of the start of Trump's 2nd year in office. Senate Democrats have vote with the Republicans to approve a short term spending bill to fund the government until February 8th. It gave 6 months years of funding for CHIP, however it partially defunds community clinics and private hospitals that care for large number of low-income patients…. so, a kid might have CHIP but might not be able to go to a clinic or hospital…. This spending bill will also add to the deficit by delay implementing 3 ACA taxes. The Senate majority leader also gave a promise to hold a vote on DACA before the end of this spending bill.
- Can you feel the DREAMER love?: On Sep 6th Trump rescinded DACA, to be effective Mar 5th. Trump has said since then that we "need a bill of lover" to help the DREAMERS. A reporter asked Sarah Huckabee-Sanders today whether ICE would start working on deporting DACA recipients and said this "We haven't determined that. We are hopeful we don't have to do that and we don't have to get there, Sanders responded. "We would like Democrats to get serious about solving problems." Um. First of all, putting the onus on the not-in-power Democrats? Ugh. The most rational positive spin on that is the solving problems is code for we'll give you DACA if we get all of our immigration wish list, and we they we can be happy that both sides have to hold our noses as they shake hands over the deal!

WTFJHY - 4 min read, Day 369: Under pressure.

- Mueller's team: questioned Sessions last week, and in the coming weeks wants to interview Trump about his decision to fire Flynn and Comey.
- Net Neutrality: Montana passed Net Neutrality at the state level for their state.
- The Wall vs. the Environment: Trump's administration has waived dozens of environmental regulations to speed up construction of the proposed border wall.

WTFJHT - 2 min read, Day 370: Peripheral witnesses.

- FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe: Shortly after his boss, FBI Director James Comey, was fired, Trump had McCabe meet him to get to know the new acting FBI Director. Trump asking McCabe how he voted in 2016. McCabe said he didn't vote. Trump ranted about the fact that during McCabe's wife failed run in 2015 for a state Virginia senate seat she received several hundred thousand dollars of politician donations from a Hillary-linked person. Comey's replacement, Christopher Wray, has been withstanding pressure to fire McCabe.

Trump's impeachment will be sooner rather than later now that he's headed for the hot-seat.

Too bad it won't be televised. I'd pay money to watch the troll squirm.
