DC COMICS' CHARACTER HAZARD COMES TO PLAY IN CENTRAL CITY - Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team are hit by a string of bad luck and realize it is the handiwork of a new meta, Becky (guest star Sugar-Lyn Beard) nicknamed Hazard, who has the ability to give others bad luck, while cashing in the benefits for herself. Meanwhile, Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh) returns to Earth-1 to give Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) a message from Jesse.

Absolutely LOVED this episode.

Although at the speed the Flash was moving when he slipped on those marbles, I would've expected him to go flying a lot further, maybe even crashing into buildings.

Loved the interaction between Cisco and Harry, especially when Harry mimicked Cisco. LOL. The break up cube he gave to Wally...just too funny, especially the line about shoddy Atlantian workmanship. LOL.

What I don't get, unless they were able to pull a clear image of the bank security camera, or get a witness, a print, or something, they really have NO criminal case that will hold up in court against Hazzard. Generate good luck for yourself and bad luck for others isn't really something you can prove, much less prove it in court.

Speaking of bad luck...Iris doing the whole shotgun wedding thing, complete with her just turning a dead guy's picture around, only to have the Priest breakout in a severe allergic reaction....downright priceless. But even THAT one paled in comparison to Joe's face when told he was going to be a father again. LOL.

Cisco never examined the Samurai head? Never removed the cameras from that head? I really hate it when smart character on a show do really really stupid stuff.

OMG Sugar!!

I had a crush on her back in her YTV days.

I actually stuck my hand out and waved it at the exact same time Cecile waved her hand in front of his face!  :howling:

Yeah. It you remove the bank heist what the heck do they have her on? Even if you can prove that she is a meta who generates good/bad luck, how do you prove whether it happens by accident or on purpose? If you can prove the former, perhaps you can hold her on being an inherent danger to others? And if you can prove the latter perhaps have monitoring and a sort of parole officer, *and* then put in jail if she purposefully puts others in danger? With certain things off limits, like gambling, or risky activities (ex: extreme sports).

Especially consider the whole thing was a robot, it wasn't a person's helmet that you might assume or expect to be tech-less gear.
I hope they explain that the tech was really well obscured from detection some how.

We-e-ell.  Cisco is kind of cocky, and absent-minded, especially given that he was dealing with relationship issues with Gypsy.  Then there are all the other projects he was working on as well.

But, I agree that it is surprising that he didn’t take the head apart – or run some tests on it – to see how the thing works.

He probably cut the main power feed (which was probably in the torso), then checked for backup batteries and anything that resembled a transmitter.

The Thinker's technology might be advanced enough that Cisco didn't recognize what it was truly capable of.

I hate "thinker" villains, because their "thinking" never seems all that smart.

So far - this "thinker's" whole strategy seems to be based on causing the creation of metahumans randomly.   That seems.... unwise?  Shortsighted?

Are we to get the impression from... nothing at all that we can point to in the episodes so far, that he (the thinker) knew where Barry was going to come back? Because he didn't come back where Cisco and team tried to get him to come back, and Cisco and team didn't recognize the spot.  And are we to also get the impression that he (the thinker) arranged for all the passengers on the bus to be on the bus?  That seemed to be the idea of this episode, but there was some kind of disconnect - because all I saw were random circumstances that resulted in her needing a bus.  Perhaps the firing from the casino and the boot were arranged, but really - that seems like a stretch and a lot of work a supposed "thinker" should be able to do better than.

Plot holes abound - best not to think about them too much.  I wasn't clear that he should have even been able to slip at his speed.  But then I don't really do well with physics concepts.

Am I forgetting something crucial?  Because these jail cells that they create for their metas seem extrajudicial to me - team Flash are judge, jury and executioner for these cases.  Which seems really problematic to me... but it's always been so.  Was there an episode where they dealt with this (and other questions, like how the prisoners take care of "human factors")?

More plot holes.  I kept wondering why they were playing such a severe allergic reaction for a joke instead of whisking him to the hospital (or Barry whisking to Star Labs and back with an Epi-Pen.  And the samurai head trophy just seems to be a case of smart characters being stupid because the plot calls for it.

Don't get me wrong - I still love the Flash and all the DC TV.  Just that this particular episode had more instances than other eps of glaring plot holes showing to the extent of me not being able to simply look past them.
