In light of the horrific tragedy of another school shooting, it might be relevant to re-visit the words of the very conservative Warren Burger, who was the US Supreme Court Chief Justice from 1969 to 1986.  Burger was appalled at gun violence statistics and deeply disturbed by the political clout gun advocacy groups were gaining.

An excellent read.  An opinion on the 2nd amendment that I have always held myself. It's not a difficult amendment to understand in the context of the 1780's and 90's. That only shows how powerful the gun lobby has been in rewriting the essence of the 2nd amendment for their enrichment.

Rule#4: Be outraged.
Rule#5: Don't make compromises.
Rule#6: Remember the future.
