Lucifer rules over heaven but things aren't going exactly as planned, exasperating his first lady, Jo. Sam and Castiel are perplexed by the return of Gabriel. Meanwhile, Dean gets one step closer to finding Mary and Jack.

Apparently The Lucifer is not making Heaven great again.  :laughtears:

Mark Pellegrino always kills it as Lucifer. I wish we saw more of him. At least the hammy Asmodeus is no more. And nice to see alt-Charlie. The other universe makes clear how much the show misses some of the iconic characters it has iced.

alt-Charlie?  Oh, geez. I've been hoping they'd bring back Charlie, but I don't know if I want to see alt-Charlie.

Well, that was a good episode with a surprising twist. It was nice to see Charlie again, although I'd prefer it if our Charlie came back-- this Charlie seems pretty much the same, except that she doesn't have the same history and friendship with the boys. But at least this alternate universe has allowed us to see characters who never should have been killed off.

This episode also saw some more character development for Ketch-- he seems genuinely disillusioned and remorseful, in a Londo Mollari kind of way.  I hope they don't reconstruct the character into something worthwhile only to kill him off.  He's actually pretty amusing.

And poor Gabriel finally got his mojo back, thanks to Sam confusing porn stars with hookers.    He immediately hit the road after Kentucky frying Colonel Sanders, but I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him. They didn't bring him back for nothing.  The departure of Asmodeus seemed kind of anticlimactic, though. He didn't really have a chance to go anywhere as a character, and Hell has been left Kingless once again.

And I got a kick out of all the Trumpy satirical bits with Lucifer being the ineffectual boss of Heaven. Beyond that, we're seeing that he really does have some daddy issues-- he tried to listen to prayers, for a few seconds, and performed an exorcism, before dusting the priests. And he got all dressed up in his Sunday best-- an odd affectation, considering Chuck's casual style, but Lucifer is basically a child trying to act like a grown up and not having a clue how to do it.

This was a great episode.

Gabriel has to return... they wouldn't have done all this without being back.  I do wonder how even Chuck didn't realize he was alive.

I really wonder if they will bring our Michael back, and Adam.  I doubt it, but it really just sucks that Adam stays locked in the Cage all these years.

I will actually miss Evil Colonel Sanders.  His over the topness was really fun.

With all the dead characters showing up in the alternate world, I wonder if we will see Ellen and Jo.

Poor Adam has been forgotten by everyone.  They appear to regret creating that character.
