Now, I'm always in favour of going cheap and slutty, but that's just bad. At least when they painted an arrow aiming at Trance's boobs she still looked sci-fi instead of a porn parody of sci-fi.

I had thought that maroon pleather jumpsuit Lexa wore most of the last season was awful, but this pink outfit is just several orders of Richter-magnitude worse on the tackiness scale. Yeech. Reminds me of Soolin from "Blake's 7," only worse.

I was hoping this wasn't going to be a blatant "Let's add a Borg-turned-female"/"Let's put a Vulcan in a catsuit" that we all know so well. Unfortunately... well we all guessed this. Didn't we?

It's just testament to the direction the show has been steered towards since the start of Season 3, which is to appeal primarily to horny 18-25 males who don't have girlfriends. It's all about "really cool fights" and "really hot chicks". Rip-roaring my ass.

It is possible to have sexy female characters that appeal to women. This however is not one of them. I don't, of course, speak for all women. Just the 99.9999999% of them that agree with me on this issue.

Please tell me the first ep goes something like this:

Harper: Hey Andromeda, I made you a new avatar.
Andromeda: That's a sexbot you salvaged from the Clarion's Call's dumpster.
Harper: Yup, I'm going to get laid. At last.

I don't remember Soolin looking come-hither and slutty. She looked good, but it seemed to mean absolutely nothing to her, because her job was to kill and she did it well. Although I'll admit that Soolin never stuck in my mind much apart from that.

I can only hope that Doyle can be taken slightly seriously (although, looking at Ledford's "acting" credits, I doubt she can be). Despite the way Rommie dressed, she usually was someone to take seriously, because she was dangerous. Maybe they did the horrible costume to distract the causal viers and fans from the fact there is no Rommie android in S5 Andromeda. Don't tell me they will have Dylan and Doyle get romantically involved.

I can imagine the cast's (save Sorbo) shoulders slumping even further at this latest affrontery to the poor show. Personally I would be embarrassed to stand next to that costume.
