Okay, if I didn't avoid joining factions on principle, I'd join this one. Mind if I hang out without officially joining? ;)

Just don't start any ready-room brawls. ;) :p

(stupid question: is the ready-room the room where the CAG gives pre-flight speeches, or the room where they hang out and play cards, etc.?)

Does anyone have any callsign ideas for anyone else? I can't even think of one for myself, let alone the rest of you.

Darkside_1 enters the ready room, turns and salutes the flag on the wall.  He then turns to the CAG and salutes saying...

"Greetings, I am Darkside, Fleet Admiral - Confederation Space Forces - TCS Executioner.  My callsign is 'Thor'.  Under my command, I am also the Supreme Commander of my Marauder Mech forces, codenamed 'Vengeance Wraith'."

As I understand, your forces are undermanned and out-gunned.  Perhaps my fleet can give your Colonial Warriors an added punch against the Cylons, especially aginst their base stars.

I am here to render all aid to your rag-tag fleet while you're enroute to finding the 13th. tribe.  My techs are familiar with your combat crafts and can give you added punch including protection from their targeting systems that render your craft helpless.  My forces are already imune to their systems.

DS pulls out a holo-cron datapad and shows the C.A.G. a holo-photo of his fleet.

Here are some points on my Marauder Mechs:

-Based on a cross between the 'Daishi', 'Mad Cat/Timberwolf' class battle mechs combined with the "Veritech Transformation" capabilities for both atmospheric and space flight with optimum weaponry, modified and improved heat dissipation, and other enhancements (I.E. Organic Adaptive Shielding).

Specs: "Clan: Darkside 120 Ton Marauder Veritech Mech"

Crew: 1 (Capable of controling all aspects via voice commands, thought, and integrated VR tactical displays)
Chassis: "Classified" Hybrid Design
Power Plant: "Classified"
Computer Systems: Redundant Self Supporting, Intuitive self diagnostics/auto-repairing
Armour Shielding: Quantum Ablaitive (sp) Heavy Armour
Crusing Speed: 40 KPH (With Legs Deployed On Land)
Max Speed: 90 KPH (With Legs Deployed On Land)
Atmospheric/Space Flight Speed: "Classified"
Jump Jets: YES - 5000 Meters (Vertical thrust on land)
Torso Swing: YES
Arm Swing: YES (Independant)
Retractable Atmospheric /Space flight wings with integrated weapon racks and ultra-speed rapid firing and independant tracking point-defence systems: Gattling heavy lasers and interceptor missles
Space Jump Capable: Yes (Capable of even creating it's own jump points to hyperspace)
Communication Systems: "Classified"
Targeting/Tracking Systems: "Classified"
Weaponry:
Combination of:
- 2 Ultra-5 AC Autocannons + integrated ammo replicators
- Medium Pulse Lasers
- Extended Range Large and Medium Lasers
- Twin Long Range Missle Racks + integrated ammo replicators
Missle Rack Launchers have independant 180 Degree Lateral Tracking and 120 Degree Elevation Swivel for flanking attack and for point defence
Missles: IFF tracking, Heat/Plasma Seeking, Dumb-Fire (Best for capital ships and stationary targets),
Swarm MIRV's, Stealth Passive All Aspect Missles (Fire missles to programmed coordinates, missles cloak and wait for enemy to approach to either optimum range or point blank, missles become active and enemy overwhelmed and destoyed.  )
- Heavy Machine Guns + integrated ammo replicators

My forces are extremely loyal and are more than happy to assist against tyranny and opression.

DS then changes the photo to show an image of a Mega-Leviathan class Super Carrier Capital Ship that dwarfs the Galactica in size and the Cylon Base Stars with more than enough hangar space to shelter and protect even the largest of the civilian ships from Cylon attack.

DS then offers the CAG a series of safe routes and star charts through known safe systems to save time.

Most of all, I give this offer freely and without any obligation whatsoever.

Most of all, your fleet is among friends.  You will be safe.

Never mind. I don't have time to devote to a faction of this magnitude of seriousness.

Hmm... it's not polite to have food-fights in a refugee situation, so I could borrow a not-so-edible tribble from the Harperchondriacs Ward and fling it at Darkside's irrelevant-to-BSG post. If BSG has "mushies" as the old series did (a rather unpleasant-looking sweet of some nature), I could throw those. But that might start a brawl. Frack. ;)

My apologies CAG Raina,

My fleet will leave you in peace, but as a gesture of goodwill, please accept these navigational charts that outline many safe routes for your journey.

These charts have excellent places for refuel/repair and re-supply and as a place of refuge on top of accurate FTL jump calcuations compatable with your nav systems.

Should you reconsider our assistance, simply make your way to the points listed and call for us, we'll be there.

You are always welcome among my people. :)

Good luck and godspeed.  :)

<<<Salutes the CAG, turns and salutes the flag on the wall and departs>>>
