The Cash family has endured its second tragedy in just weeks. On September 12th, they lost country music legend Johnny Cash. And now they have to deal with the seemingly dubious loss of his 45-year-old stepdaughter Rosie Nix Adams.

Her body was found along with that of a man Friday in a bus parked off a Tennessee highway in Montgomery County. A spokesman for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department calls the deaths “suspicious”. The department says they may have been caused by carbon monoxide from lanterns. And items found near the bodies do nothing to contradict that notion. They reportedly include drug paraphernalia, such as needles and pipes.

Authorities are withholding the name of the male victim until his family is notified, but he was reportedly a bluegrass fiddle player.

Adams was a songwriter who’d pursued a performing career. She and her husband, Philip Adams, had been preparing to travel in the bus.

Making this story even more sad is the fact that Adams’ mother June Carter Cash – Johnny’s wife – died in May, preceding her famous stepfather’s passing by four months.

Sad... :( Sad indeed. :suspect:
